One-on-one Mentoring pairs all new full time faculty members (tenure and non-tenure track) with a departmental mentor. Throughout the year, resources such as a Mentoring Handbook and Tips Regarding Best Practices for Mentors are provided by the Office for Faculty Success to ensure a successful and productive relationship. With the help of the department chair, mentees hand-pick their mentors to ensure the relationship is mutually agreed upon. Mentees need to submit the Mentor Selection Form to the Office for Faculty Success within a month of starting employment. All new full time faculty hired at the rank of assistant professor, lecturer, clinical assistant professor, and librarian are expected to choose a mentor.
