Faculty interacting togetherOne-on-one Mentoring pairs all new full time faculty members (tenure and non-tenure track) with a departmental mentor. Throughout the year, resources such as a Mentoring Handbook and Tips Regarding Best Practices for Mentors are provided by the Office for Faculty Success to ensure a successful and productive relationship. With the help of the department chair, mentees hand-pick their mentors to ensure the relationship is mutually agreed upon. All new full time faculty hired at the rank of assistant professor, lecturer, clinical assistant professor, and librarian are expected to choose a mentor and inform the Office for Faculty Success of the selection within a month of starting employment.
