Professor Pamela Padilla Awarded NIH and NSF Grants

Pamela Padilla, Associate Professor in Biological Sciences, has recently been awarded two grants totaling $1.4 million. The National Institutes of Health has awarded Prof. Padilla and her colleague Rajeev Azad $445,000 to study the molecular consequences of a glucose diet, and the National Science Foundation has awarded her (along with colleague Ron Mittler) almost $993,000 to study the regulation of mitochondrial function.
