Citation for Distinguished Service to International Education
Award
This Citation (or award) is presented by the International Education Committee (IEC) to any person within the university community who has performed or achieved an extraordinary record of outstanding, distinguished, meritorious and longstanding service to international education at the University of North Texas. Examples of efforts by past recipients has included; spearheading and supporting effective curricular changed in support of international education, establishing and supporting study abroad or exchange programs or scholarly publishing that brings positive attention to UNT from institutions in other countries. The citation is awarded annually if the committee deems necessary and deserving and the recipient will receive a plaque and $3000 award at the International, Sustainability, and Diversity Banquet. The Award for 2012-13 will also be presented at the Salute to Faculty Excellence dinner and ceremony on October 5, 2012.
Selection Process/Eligibility
This award may be presented to any person within the university community and any individual or organization within the UNT community can make a nomination. The recipient of the citation will be selected by voting members of the IEC, which is a campus-wide committee advisory to the Vice Provost and Associate VP for International Affairs.
Deadlines
Late January- Call sent out for nominees
First Friday in March – Deadline for nominations
Late March – Selection and notification
Award is presented at the Salute to Faculty Excellence dinner and ceremony in the fall semester
